Science policy decisions regarding funding allocation have a major impact on university researchers. To move towards a more inclusive and nuanced policy discussion, while acknowledging the dilemmas for a policymaker, The Young Academy has initiated an open collective consultation.
More than 800 Dutch academics have filled this consultation and expressed their choices and preferences. In the spirit of open science, and to promote evidence-based policy making, we are organising two days of data-analysis hackathons on 13 and 15 July 2022, in Het Trippenhuis in Amsterdam.
We invite social scientists and data experts to participate in these hackathons, and contribute to summarising the main results, and to prepare the data for further analysis by the community. If you are interested in participating in this event, please send a brief description of your current research and your motivation to participate in this event to s.faez@uu.nl before Monday July 4th. (Online participation could be accomodated).
The Young Academy team responsible for this consultation will review the participation applications. Selected applicants will be invited to one or both days of the hackathon.
